BAWR (Blue Angel Weimaraner Rescue of Texas) is a designated 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization. We consist of a group of volunteers who work with rescue dogs by fostering them in our own homes for an evaluation period. During this time we pride ourselves in treating them as one of our own. We will use a kennel and/or daycare if needed to save a dog, but prefer our dogs to go straight into a foster home to be loved and cared for.
All costs associated with the care of our dogs come from adoption donations and the generosity of our amazing donors. We provide vaccinations, spaying/neutering, micro-chipping, socialization, and training of the dogs until a permanent home is found. Our number one commitment is to the Weimaraners and the Weimaraner Wannabes that come our way. We carefully screen all applicants and do home visits to assure each dog is placed in the best situation for him/her and he/she is the best companion for the home and all members of the family.
